In this years Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin Julia Duscher received the special prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary piece!
The young soprano’s versatility is evident in her appearances as a concert soloist as well as on the opera stage. Chamber music and music from the Renaissance and Baroque represent a major component of Julia’s artistic repertoire. In summer 2021 the singer makes her debut at the Salzburger Festspiele. Born in Munich, Julia Duscher studied with KS Prof Christiane Iven at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

Julias passion for chamber music enables her to regularly collaborate with various artists specializing in a wide range of stylistics from different centuries. Creating and establishing duos and ensembles with their own unique instrumentations and programs, has been one of the core elements of the soprano’s musical work.
